We are gladly to announce the proposal to upgrade our service operating voltage from 275kV to 500kV has received approval from Energy Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga) in September 2021. The registration certificate comes just a few weeks after we apply for upgrading. This means, GTS hit its own benchmark which is to be able to provide an electrical service up to 500kV in the fifth year of business operation.

Achieving this milestone was key for enabling GTS to let the engineers and technicians to develop their careers and experiences by involving in both low voltage and high voltage electrical system field. According to GTS Director, “Our previous constraints on providing the electrical testing services was limited to 275kV only. Therefore, with this achievement, our current focus is to be able to fulfill any service request from client for system operating voltage up to 500kV.”
